Pre release 1.9 is out atm. Liking most of the changes didn't like the look of the npc's but apart from that it's cool.

I'm a part of the Australian portion of the Royal Minecraft Militia, the oldest surviving Minecraft clan alive today. We're 40 members strong from all over the world (EU/UK, USA, East Asia, Aus and weirder euro countries like Cyprus and Lithuania). We love to build and more recently (with the addition of health into Minecraft again) PvP.
We have access to various Voip servers, have a whitelisted home server of our own and currently reside in operations on three different servers. I'm looking to meet up with all the minecraft players on this site as I am desperately in need of more Aussies to be active during Aus peak hour times. If you want a more structured and focused Minecraft experience either add Cubnake on skype for details (We don't use Skype, but it's an easy form of non-commital communication.) or look at our mcforum thread (I would post the home forum but I don't want to directly advertise another site >.<) |

After years of looking puzzled over this hideous looking game, I had a go at the 360 version the other day. hmm. Something exploded me and it seemed like a good time to leave it be.
The next day I took another look at it. hmm. Oh I get it, that's what it means by that. Oh well, very clever. I wouldn't pay $30 for it. The next day I had another go at the trial and a ****ing madness took hold of me and I spent $30 on it and then 8-9 hours straight going OH THE BANALITY THIS IS PATHETIC JUST SOME MORE THEN BED BUT WHAT'S THAT? I know the 360 version is way begin the PC in terms of features, but what mainly struck me is that this seems like a step away from being the ultimate "Make Your Own RPG And Share It" game. I could spend a hundred years building castles and dungeons and writing dialogue for NPC's if that were integrated into the game. Has it been, on PC?

Have not managed to get into this game yet, even though heaps and heaps of people are telling me to. Im and old school gamer at heart though! Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Police Quest, Gabriel Knight, Tex Murphy
Do you guys think I'll like MineCraft?

There's nothing oldschool about Minecraft. The only game where I'd suggest a liking towards would help predict your Minecraft enjoyment would be Dwarf Fortress.
